The title of the exhibition, VOLUME, can be interpreted on two levels: as "loudness," referring to the sonic realm, and as "volume," referring to the material existence of objects in space. This ambiguity captures the essence of the exhibition, which explores the relationship between sound and visual art.
Alongside three-dimensional works, the exhibition also features painting, conceptual art, and video; however, spatial work predominates due to the monumental scale of the Turbine Hall.
