Martin Machovec is sometimes referred to as the chronicler of the underground; according to him, it was not a monolith that did not evolve over time, that was not full of contradictions, often contradictory tendencies, sharp polemics and full of its own efforts at self-identification.

The lecture will focus on the underground in the Trutnov region. Hrádeček and Václav Havel, who lived and worked there and was closely connected with the underground, will not be left out.
