The Centre of Contemporary Art EPO1 presents an exhibition of photographs by Bohdan Holomíček. This photographer worked as an electrician in the building of the former First Republic power plant in Trutnov-Poříčí in the 1960s. His return to this place is therefore an event special not only for its artistic quality, but also for its symbolic meaning. “Bohdan Holomíček is a rare phenomenon of Czech culture who is personally connected with the Trutnov region. A photographer of friendly meetings, capturing positive situations, moments of grace, glimpses of love with the magical contribution of light.” This is how the now legendary photographer was characterised by the renowned art historian Anna Fárová. Bohdan Holomíček’s images are personal and create a memorial of extraordinary moments from ordinary life.
